WARNING: If you haven't seen any of these movies, this post will probably wreck them for you.
1) The Green Mile, when the big fella gets fried.
2) Of Mice and Men, when George shoots Lenny, so as to spare him the suffering of a lynch mob. (I have a soft spot for simpletons).
3) The Outsiders, when Dallas (Matt Dillon's character) points a gun at the police, and gets blown away...BUT THE GUN ISN'T EVEN LOADED!
4) Gallipoli, when Mel Gibson doesn't reach the trench in time to stop the next advance, and Arch goes out, knowing he'll be shot anyway, and is cut down straight away.
5) Lord of the Rings, either when Sean Bean tries to take the ring from Frodo, then is killed trying to protect it, or when that guy is so loyal to Frodo, he follows him out to the middle of the river, even though he can't swim.

Gallipoli, that should be number 1. Never has a film had such an overwhelming emotional effect on me other then that movie. Is it the greatest film ever made? i dont know, maybe, but i sure as hell dont want to ever see that movie again.

The Lion King - When Simba lost his dad... more like an "awww..." thing than something that would bring me to tears
Stepmom - When Julia Roberts and Susan Sarandon have that conversation over dinner.. ."You have their past." "and you have their future"... actually the whole movie had me in tears, i didnt just have tears, i was bawling - i cried like id never cried before during that movie.

When Artax dies in The Neverending Story. All 124 minutes of The Elephant Man. When Micha discovers his best friend has joined the army in Sonnenallee. When we see the father cleaning up around the house in Rebel Without a Cause.
Those are the only actual "sad" things I can think of off the top of my head.

I cried the entire way through Stepmom...
*Love story made me cry *As did, Of Mice and Men (As Mark already said); *Little Women (When Beth dies); *Fast and the Furious (when he is telling the other dude about his Dad's death); *Save the Last Dance (when she is telling her Dad about how she wants someone to love her, and he says 'But I love you...'); *Ghost (the whole movie!)... *The Truman Show (when Truman is united with his Father and again at the end when he realises his reality) *Letter in a bottle (when he dies, but she realises she loves him)
Yes, I cry at just about anything. I've been known to cry at an episode of The Simpsons or Home and Away or somehting stupid like that...

Dancer in the dark. Pretty much the only one i can think of right now. This movie made me cry.. alot. Like I was almost sobbing in the theatre.. so was allmost everyone else. The saddest bit is just before she is executed and she is lying on the floor of the cell crying and that.
ahem.

Anyone who laughs at Mr "I'm so corny" could be considered sad. But hey, I don't mind!!
