I don't know how, but I missed the bloody opening of that HQ place in leederville. It was right under my nose, but I missed it.
I blame hotmail, it put all my important email in the junkmail folder, yet let all the "junkmail" into my inbox. I missed two emails mentioning the above event because of this.
Oh well, there's still that thing at scarborough beach on march 10.

yeah it looked good too. but no-one wants to see bands anymore. the band scene has obviously died down since year nine or whenever it was peaking. but most big gig's recently haven't been that succesful. not getting a crowd. are people looking for something other than music or is the music shit.

No, I was interested, but I didn't know about it. They didn't even put up posters, not even at TAFE, which is just up the road! The band scene isn't that small, it's more than just people that only go to see a band because their mate's in it.
B.T.W, Bonnie, is there going to be another 100% Pure Mayhem this year, in one form or another?

I think there is still a "local band scene" thingy out there, just we never go to any shows any more Bonnie. heh. There are not enough venues in perth. There are hardly enough pubs that will have bands for 18+ shows let alone underage thingys. When there are under 18 shows hardly any kids turn up so no body can really be bothered organising anything. I don't know. People are probably just more lazy these days. If anyone is 18 yet come to see *conditions apply play at the amplifier on the 15th of march and at the grosvenor on the 16th. shameless promotion.

yeah there's still a scene. no way it could die out completely I guess. it's just that there's been quite a few gigs in the past two years or so(as in YAC organised events)that have just not had a very big crowd. despite good organisation. alright bands whatever. 100% Mayhem isn't happening this year. or again. lack of organisors.

I thought one of the reasons HQ was put together was to have a place for AA shows to be put on.
Maybe the kids'd be a bit more enthusiastic if they realised the alternative was something like pulse, etc.
Still looking forward to that City of Stirling concert next Sunday, Cosmonautical (I think that's its name). One Dollar Short is the main band. Kick ass.

I just thought i would let you know that all youth based events in the Vincent area IE:Headquarters are in a compleet mess because the Vincent youth officer just resigned and as a result the yac is not running and everything, like event advertising has been forgotten, So if you want to find out about stuff in the Vincent area your going to have too look real hard cause there is Jack shit being done about the youth stuff by the council.Neway just thought id let you know why everything is sooooooooo crap at the moment !!!!!!! hope it is of help!

I don't think you can blame the government for that.

And it's a Labor Government... Does that not prove my point?

Yes, thankfully we are out of the downward spiral, well at least state-wise.

Could someone please explain how the STATE GOVERNMENT got involved in this? The local councils have nothig to do with the State Government they are independantly elected and although local governments may or may not have a perty prefference they are elected as independant people not as party candidates, so we realy cant go and blame the labor Government for problems wihin the vincent council (problems which are in the proccess of being resolved). But if you want to bitch about something why not bitch about the situation which Australia faces now, we have a PM who is a international joke, A perverted lying governor General whom the PM can not fire because it will make him look like a hypocryt (sorry i cant spell) and the liberal gov has got us in so much Shit with the UN we are being investigated. But of course its all the ALPs fault, isnt it? ??
