Hi Everyone! On the 13th May, I got my new lungs!
I feel absolutely amazing and am making a really speedy recovery. ;D You have got no idea what it's like to take a deep breath for the first time your life.
Hopefully I'll be back in Perth in August and can't wait to catch up with you all.
P.S. I would really appreciate if everyone would think about whether they would become an organ donor. I literally had a small number of months left without my transplant, and now I'll probably live a pretty normal life.

Wow! Congratulations!
If I ever get a driver's license, I've always said I'd be an organ donor... And if there was anything ;left of me, i'd donate my body to science.
I don't fancy being burried with the worms...

Hi Sarah, that is such awesome news... can't wait to have your smiling face back in Perth again!! When you were moved to the top of the list how long was it until a compatible donor came along? I'm so happy for you, congratulations, hope to see you soon! love bree

I was on the top of the blood group B list since I was listed last May, but because it is so rare, I was put on the blood group O list just before Christmas because that was when I got really sick. In the end I got blood group O lungs even though I'm blood group B. I was waiting a year to the day altogether.
I'm feeling sooooooooooo fantastic. I've been shopping everyday this week and to the gym three times this week, it's pretty amazing that three weeks ago I couldn't walk and was on oxygen 24/7.

Now you can run faster, jump higher and shop more than anyone this side of Australia. Glad to here you're so much better. Quite an unreal recovery.
