I went all the way to Midland yesterday, to see Crank (check xpress) play, with support from A Change of Face, Negative Reply, Waste of Space, and Kordova. The 1/2 hr train ride was worth it.

When I go into Politics, it will all change!! No one can do anything in this county unless you're over 18!!! It is sooooo annoying!! The current legislation is so screwed! It isn't even consistant. And they tell us we're being brought up in a stable society!!

The govt. has no control over whether an event is 18+ or not, it's the promoters discretion, by making an event 18+, they can serve alcohol, and make more money, buit if it's all-ages, alcohol isn't allowed on the premises. It's sucks, I know, but it's the only way of ensuring alcohol isn't made available to minors, if it was AA with a licenced area, people may buy alcohol for under-18's. I said before how I went all the way out to the Pit theatre, in Midland on sunday. Being on a govt campus, no alcohol is allowed. The previous local AA venue was the grovsenor backroom, until they they could no longer break even from just door sales and drinks, while having to pay at least 6 staff, so they doubled the price of hire. Anyway, it's a good challenge, trying to pass yourself off as 18. Good bands play AA shows anyway (except fucking Guttermouth!).

think about it.....if chloe was part of/or ruled the government, she could make the drinking age lower/non existant, so it wouldn't be an issue for those organising the performance, AND all those wonderful people who have their choices of entertainment restricted by and age impairment, would be able to go into the 18+ concerts...

It's a nice thought, but it probably won't happen (lowering the drinking age). More likely is that with events as big as that, the organisers might set up licenced areas inside, where only over 18's can go in, and alcohol can't leave that area.
