Yeah. At the cinemas at the moment. What have people seen and stuff.
I've seen LOTR three times now. God I'm a nerd. I still think it's fucking cool.
Amelie is brilliant, very pretty and stuff.
The One well... i personally thought it sucked ass. It was very tacky, I couldn't take it seriously, and I don't know if it was meant to been taken seriously or not. A bit of groovy fighting. Not enough kung-fu and jet li.

Lord of the Rings kicked arse, but once was enough. Why does everyone compare Harry Potter (which looks shit) with it, that's targeted at a totally different audience. When I landed at wellington airport, I was welcomed to "Middle Earth, New Zealand".
American Pie 2 is about as funny as the first, but not as grond breaking in it's humour.
They showed Serendipity and American Outlaws on the plane home. I feel worse for watching both of them.
I finally watched fight club, it was alright, it made me think about the way we live.
But a real gem is a movie I came across in the video store, called "Ready to Rumble". It's got David Arquette and Oliver Platt in it, along with all these WCW wrestlers, Rose McGowan, and that "Shermanator" guy from American Pie. It's nothing special, but it's good for a laugh, mostly from David Arquette, who screams alot.

yeah lord of the rings was "da bomb"! but i need to see it again coz i lost concentration coz i needed the bog. how many bloody water images are there!!
i saw a new film on the plane coming home, "Rat Race" with Whoopi, John Luvittz, the guy from road trip, Atkinson [aka Mr bean who plays a spanish mr bean] and Seth Green. Really funny with slappy humour. is it out yet? also something weird they blurred out the face of an Arab at the end. dont know why but it kinda looked like bin laden.
also a cartoon/film, "Osmosis Jones" about a white cell - Chris Rock - fighting a virus in Bill Murray's body. kiddish but it passed the time in the over crowded, over cramped, not enough leg room plane.

Yeah i saw rat race, it was pretty funny. Sometimes quite outrageous. Atkinson played a italian mr bean, if he was spanish, it would have been just like manuel from faulty towers.
Bill Murray is the coolest, but i havent seen Osmosis Jones.
I dont know about that stupid Harry Potter, but you should never read the book before you see the movie if you have an option.

Well the thing is now, if you read the book, lets say it takes 20 hours, you'll have 15 hours of enjoyment, and the next 3 hours you will be watching the movie and whinging about how this wasnt in the book, and that bit was left or that character was not portayed how i imagined.
Hoevere if you see the movie first, you'll enjoy the movie as a movie a lot more, then you can read the book and the enjoyment is enhanced and it can often make a lot more sense. this method you gain 18 hours of enjoyment, however if you read the book first, you have less enjoyment.
Since a series like lord of the rings was written for the purpose of enjoyment, then the second method is usually considered better if you havent already read the books.

Dont bother reading LOTR book unless you do REALLY love reading. the movie is easier to digest.
it has taken me over a month and im still on the fellowship of the ring.
i have read a couple of books before i saw the movie: Fight club fifth element, and i enjoyed it all the same.
note: you wouldnt be getting rid of the enjoyment in three hours of LOTR, two more years and you will.

I'm afraid I am in agreement with Thomas, with reference to his statement about reading books after viewing the movie. Many a time, I have been disappointed by the movie, as it wasn't what I had imagined whilest reading the book. Classic example, "Flowers in the Attic". That went as far as to change the names of characters, and even dismissed a main character entirely. Consequently, the entire plot suffers. While I have not read any Harry Potter books, I found the movie cute. I certainly wouldn't give it all the media hype that it recieved. In fact I would go as far to say that it was over rated. I have not seen Lord of the Rings... don't really have much of a desire too. I would like to see Amelie and Rat Race... And that movie with Julia Roberts, George Clooney and Brad Bitt... I would like to see that too. (I can't remember what it's called!!
