I LOVED "Looking for Alibrandi" the book, hated the movie - what a disapointment! What a crappy Aussie film....
But on the other hand, I also Loved "Little Women"... AND love the movie (with kirsten dunst, winona ryder, claire danes, susan sarandon) in it....
I think it depends on the book, depends on the movie and the directorial choices...
Ummm - I forgot what I was about to say... Oh yea - thanks for the support Larry. (PS- Please check your email! ta)

Yes, Yes and Yes!! ;DI agree with you Pia, with the whole "Looking for Alabrandi" scenario. The movie puts the book to shame. "Little Women" was one of the best books I have ever read! Definantly an all time classic, and both versions of the movie that I have seen, have done a pretty good job with sticking to the intial plot. Too bad that other movies amde from books don't follow the same trend.

What about movies that are not actually adaptions of books, just based on them.
