no you can hold your offer and hope that you'll get a higher preference in 2nd round offers... it's "saftey netting it"... if you accept your 1st round off you are not eligible for 2nd round offers though.... and if you change your preferences completely, there is no garantee that you will get an offer..? or something like that -- it's all on the website and they say it when you call the tisc line..

I enrolled at TAFE today. Certificate IV/Diploma in Building. Fuck paying a couple of grand for a Uni degree. I might enroll as a mature age student in 2-3 years.

Anyone else finding that UWA's admissions have gone heaps higher? I got my second preference - Arts, but like Pia I'm going to hang out for second round offers, hoping to get into a double degree - Arts/Science - seeing as I was only .35 off the cut off

Campbell - Arts/Science is just what yellow said, the two seperate degrees but doing them at the same time in 4 years, whereas doing them seperately would take 6.
But, I've decided to stick with Arts, for if I did Science I would be doing maths at 8am, four days a week, and I don't think i would survive - me hating maths and all

Yea, Ive decided to stick with Commerce/Asian Studies... Im not going to wait for 2nd round preference... Reasons: Well I wanted to eventually do commerce but after I did journalism... So yea... Oh - and I found out that when you start out in PR you start at like $38 grand, and work up and when you start with journo. if you get a cadetship (which is hard to get) you start on about $27 grand... I know I shouldn't be so pretentious, and just follow the $$. But, they were pretty equal, and I did want to eventually do both so yea... After the four years, I'll work and do Journo. by correspondance or something!
